Just got a clean script on CodeCanyon and launched a URL shortening website using a really friendly domain name. I figured I'd share it here and get any criticism I could on my start-up. I have hosting for a year. I don't plan on monetizing this site, just offering a free service to anyone that wants to use Bun as their go-to short linking site. Here: http://bun.pw

I feel like you just cannot get it wrong with creating everyday utility tools like URL shortner especially when they are free and not bombarded with millions of ad and scary gif pages. I intend to implement a similar idea so I'll appreciate if you go about sharing how you did it.

I've seen Youtube videos where people just go ahead and fork other people's git hub repository, but I feel like that's a lazy man's way to solve a problem. My question will be "How do you intend to make money with this." Well done bro!

URL Shorteners are generally great to mask all kind of links including affiliate links, sharing on social media and even beating algorithms that restrict maximum number of user characters... I stand to be corrected but I guess they do have backlink/SEO benefits as well. Many people are familiar with older url shortners like: https://goo.gl, bitly, adfly, zapier which are extremely outdated but at least gets the job done.
I like the modern theme. Do you have some coding experience? How long did it take you to make this?

@Fairytale, I thought google stopped their URL shortening services? This is what their website, https://goo.gl/ currently says:

Starting March 30, 2018, we will be turning down support for goo.gl URL shortener. From April 13, 2018 only existing users will be able to create short links on the goo.gl console. You will be able to view your analytics data and download your short link information in csv format for up to one year, until March 30, 2019, when we will discontinue goo.gl. Previously created links will continue to redirect to their intended destination. Please see this blog post for more details.

I personally just ask google and click which ever url shortner website that comes my way, usually the first one :D

Good job. Did you not consider SEO while choosing your TLD or does it not matter for websites like your as I see you used a .pm instead of .com which is rare...?
