I doubt the fact that TOR guarantees 100% anonymity, especially considering the fact that it was developed in the mid 90s by employees of the United States Naval Research Laboratory.

That's sounds pretty much like the story of Trojan horse gift. I won't put my trust of anonymity on a tool designed and deliberately made open source by the US government.
