shoot like that slips through the cracks all the time. It shitty and as much as you'd like to get the person it's so easy for people to dissolve into a crowd once there's commotion. Had this happen to me at a party (my ex bf). Cops were called, ex got away. Cops said that it was a "he said she said" situation, and they couldn't press charges, even though it was 30 witnesses vs 1. Oh, and he had a gun.
