It seems to me that there is no way. There has never been such a possibility. Especially in WhatsApp. It is so far behind its competitors that it would be strange to see such a function there. By the way, I haven't seen it in other messengers either. Or maybe I just haven't looked for it.

Here's what I found on this topic - In the official version, it seems that there is no such a possibility. But I definitely saw such a feature in GBWhatsApp. This is a mod for the official application, but with additional features. You can read more articles about it on websitepin and download it right away. Maybe the chats you deleted now you won't recover, but when you go to the new app, you will know how to do it.
