How did you pick your favourite team?

I started following the NBA only some years ago, well beyond the age when you choose a team to root for based on your father's or friend's preference, or for reasons you cannot remember anymore. I'm not American, hence I cannot choose based on where I live. This questions if for those people in a similar situation as mine. How did you decide what team to root for? Why? Share your stories!

Clipper fan. I could never get along with laker fans and how blindly arrogant they were so I couldn't associate myself with them and I loved the underdogs.
