How do I record my screen on my windows PC?

Hello guys, I have a PC running on windows 10 and I am familiar with using the snipping tool for still image captures. The only issue now is I need to kind of record my screen , like some sorta video recording. Does anybody have some idea of a FREE application this does this job excellently?
