They allow for a more even distribution of heat across the floor surface compared to fixed duct installations.
They act as supports for PEX piping, eliminating the need for additional mounting accessories.
They allow for lower fluid supply temperatures, thereby increasing the efficiency of radiant heating systems and reducing heating costs.
HWALU offers two types of Aluminum Heat Transfer Plates - stamped and extruded.

Stamped heat transfer panels are a thinner version commonly used in sandwich radiant floors, where PEX tubes are placed between finished floors (i.e. laminate, hardwood, etc.). ) and subfloor. These boards are wide and short, which makes them ideal for this type of project and allows for more versatility in the installation.

An extruded heat transfer plate is a thicker version that is attached to the subfloor along with PEX tubing, heating the area above. These boards feature the pipes upside-down, face down, and do not allow the pipes to come into contact with the subfloor. This eliminates the ticking problem that typically occurs when pipes expand and contract due to changes in system temperature. Even the duct channels of these plates allow for better contact with the ducts and higher heat transfer. Due to their greater thickness, extruded panels can accumulate and distribute heat in the most efficient way, maximizing comfort in radiant heating systems.
